Thank you for visiting the website of the Cole County Fire Protection District. We are very proud of what we are able to provide to our citizens through our dedicated Firefighters. On our web page you will find information on everything from our training program to a current list of apparatuses.

An elected Board of Directors governs the Fire District. You have elected community leaders Mike Rackers (President of the Board), Sue Phillips (Vice President of the Board) and Gary Smith (Director of the Board) to serve you. Together they make decisions related to the preparedness, prevention, response, and recover related to the emergencies we respond to. These members come from very diverse backgrounds that combined create a level of focus, fiscal responsibility and growth unmatched.

Since 1975 I have been able to serve as the Fire Chief. I would like to thank everyone for the support I've received as Fire Chief over the past thirty-seven years. My family and I appreciate the many kind words we've received. The firefighters, officers, and I will continue to work diligently to protect all the citizens of the fire district.

Our community is an extremely special place to live. I have had the pleasure of raising my family and living in our area for over forty years. Rest assured that those that are responsible for protecting you are committed to your safety.
